I was in COS to visit with the team which will be directing our proposed trip to Korea. On the weekend things slow down a bit and the Korean intern and I were left to find out where to fellowship. While we were working late at the seoul USA office one evening, Johwa and the folks that wash the building got talking. Turns out they visit a Ukrainian church near. In the 1960’s a few of the innovative teachers of Hapkido petitioned the government of Korea for an official organization. The Korea Kido Association (KKA) was granted a charter by the Korean Ministry of Education on September 2, 1963. If you land at the airport and are immediately taken to training, you won’t get a opportunity to buy toilet paper. Say from training (if you get any) you are then escorted to your apartment. What makes you believe the former co-teacher is going to have left a major package of toilet paper there waiting for you? Typically, in Korea, the former tenant does not clean up the flat because Korean culture frowns upon it.
And it messes us up in the mind because we lose the ability to recognize real motivation, which is everything that you actually do do in life that’s not on autopilot(ie like zipping your pants zipper is on autopilot, or SHOULD be).
